Aspire currently provides a small Residential Care organisation in Barnsley for individuals with Learning Disabilities and associated complex needs and challenging behaviours, predominantly on the Autistic Spectrum. Further services are planned in Sheffield and Kirklees. There will shortly be Domiciliary Supported Living established in West and South Yorkshire.
Aspire in the Community implements individualised care plans for each service user to achieve greater independence. These plans provide opportunities for individuals to make positive choices about their lives and the type of support they require and where possible which staff member they prefer to support them.
The care plans enable the service users to be actively involved in the running of their home and provide support to allow them to make decisions within their lives and take risks and to learn from poor choices. The plans put the service users at the centre of the service delivery and reflect their needs, aspirations and goals.
Aspire works alongside service users, encouraging decision making and inclusion in the local community. We always strive to meet aspirations and independence needs in order that service users can live their lives to the full.
Aspire in the Community provides a quality workforce and pays particular emphasis to issues such as staff recruitment, training and development and ensures that staff fully understand the purpose of the service and the key values that underpins the current National Minimum Standards.
Management and staff take great pride in having sustained services, often in the most extenuating circumstances for individuals with challenging behaviours and associated Mental Health needs.
